We have lived in the Yakima Valley for over thirty years, raised our kids here, worked here, worshipped here, played here, volunteered here, and now retired here. It's a good place to live.
I plan to visit the various small towns of the valley--and even Yakima itself sometimes--to share a glimpse of what is good and what is problematical here.
I am a Grandma blogger, posting some regular stuff on some regular blogs--photos and memes. Most recently I have primarily participated in a weekly header challenge, but hopefully I will get back to more regular blogging again.
A year ago I started this blog with an agricultural irrigation line--irrigation: the lifeblood of the Yakima Valley. Keep the water going--this morning walking through the park I caught this sprinkler line--keeping things green for recreation as well as the agricultural economy.
I know I should expect it, but when I am walking on one of the pathways in the Yakima Valley, I am always startled when I hear "Passing" called out by a cyclist or jogger.
