Local landmarks

This structure stood on the highway in Naches for years and years--art deco, isn't it? That should date its origins. It was a gas station office. When modernization of the station was giving it the boot, it was moved near to twon center as a reminder of times past.

Art deco it is. It seems that today everything is built in cookie cutter fashion and then torn down and nobody misses it.
I took some pic of kids inner tubing on the Yakima River..great fun on a neat river. MB

Wow Katney i guess i don't remember stations looking like that, but what a great art deco it is now.

Well, it might be "art" from the past BUT that sunset/sunrise is just gorgeous and sets it off nicely!
