We have lived in the Yakima Valley for over thirty years, raised our kids here, worked here, worshipped here, played here, volunteered here, and now retired here. It's a good place to live.
I plan to visit the various small towns of the valley--and even Yakima itself sometimes--to share a glimpse of what is good and what is problematical here.
I am a Grandma blogger, posting some regular stuff on some regular blogs--photos and memes. Most recently I have primarily participated in a weekly header challenge, but hopefully I will get back to more regular blogging again.
ohhh that does answer me...I like to enjoy dark kind of beers, mm will look at the licour store to see if they have any from Yakima to taste! Thanks I will be coming around more often too! :O)
When we first moved to the Yakima Valley when I was 8, I saw my first hop field. I asked my dad, "What are those?" He said, "Hops." Thinking he was joking around, I replied, "No really-- what are they?" My dad shrugged and said, "Ok, they're jumps." Me: "Dad!" Dad: "Skips!"

Love Hop Harvest, we are going to taste some of Full Sail & Bridgeport beers that they will brew during hop harvest season.
Cheers

Oh my they have grown so big!
I have never seen hops except on your blog. I do get an education here (and at your Kaboodle!)
