We have lived in the Yakima Valley for over thirty years, raised our kids here, worked here, worshipped here, played here, volunteered here, and now retired here. It's a good place to live.
I plan to visit the various small towns of the valley--and even Yakima itself sometimes--to share a glimpse of what is good and what is problematical here.
I am a Grandma blogger, posting some regular stuff on some regular blogs--photos and memes. Most recently I have primarily participated in a weekly header challenge, but hopefully I will get back to more regular blogging again.
What a beautiful peacock. The male is very beautiful, however, the female of this species is not so much. It seems that the peacock would have landed for you.
I wonder if they can still roam about. The Portland Zoo has decided to not let theirs roam any more. It was after a biting incident. I think its sad that they can't roam any longer.
Peacocks are beatiful and interesting, I think. Exotic too, I can't find them in Norway. :) But I did see some in Scotland at Traquair House and I loved it.

That's so great that peacocks roam about like that! Not the usual bird to be just strolling around.
